Heer - Punjabi Folk | Heer - Waris Shah | Lata Mangeshkar | Paran Raj Bhatia

Namaskar Everyone,

presenting before you a very traditional famous Punjabi Folk " Heer", which I performed yesterday (27-02-2022) in a concert organised by "Sanskar Bharti" Organisation, as a Tribute Programme to Late Lata Mangeshkar ji.

Heer, written by Waris Shah in 1766 describes various incidences that took place in the life of Heer- Ranjha.

Different Singers from India Pakistan, like Ghulam Ali sahab, Jagjit Singh ji, Wadali Bandhu, Jasbir Jassi etc., have presented this by expressing different situations in a common tune.

This version which I performed was sung by Lata Mangeshkar ji in her concert at Royal Albert Hall , London.

I was accompanied on Violin by my very renowned Guru - Shri Kirti Vyas ji. (President - Sanskar Bharti, Durg Bhilai).
