On the 2nd of May, three coursemates and I (Matthew Cocks) did a talk at the University of Surrey's language industry careers event. We felt it was important to let the industry representatives in attendance know exactly what we do at Surrey and how our course and its variants prepare us to be professional linguists. It was a pleasure to address so many LSPs and to explain the different pathways offered at Surrey, as well as how I myself engage with the course.
