Wer als Klassik-Fan keine CD unter der Stabführung von Otmar Suitner besitzt, hat eine große Lücke in seiner Sammlung. Egal, welches Orchester er leitet - immer ein Hochgenuß und künstlerisch wertvoll. Für mich der beste Dirigent des Jahrtausends ;-)

"Conductor Otmar Suitner was a product of the old German conducting school and is respected as a masterful interpreter. But given that most of his career was spent on the "other" side of the Iron Curtain, his impressive recorded legacy (including some of the finest Beethoven, Brahms, Mahler, Schumann, etc. available) is not top of mind. Make the effort and you will find performances that compete with the best of all time...
