It appears that Motorola is going to be aggressive in 4G market. As per a new report, Motorola will reportedly launch budget friendly 4G-enabled handsets for the Indian market, which is one of the biggest smartphone markets in the world.


“The transition to 4G will be quick. Next year, we are going to be very aggressive in the 4G value proposition for end users,” Rick Osterloh, president and chief operating officer at Motorola Mobility, said. “India is absolutely essential (for global turnaround). India and Brazil are countries that we think first when we think about our business because that’s the future. The market here is growing incredibly quickly.”

With the new budget-friendly offerings, Motorola aims to increase its market share in the region. Currently, Samsung and Apple dominate the smartphone market in India followed by Xiaomi. It’s not just these three, there are several local smartphone manufacturers in the region such as Micromax and Lava who received quite a warm welcome because of the budget-friendly offerings.
