INTRO:
This video is Part 1 of a huge 6 part recording of my friends and I playing a multiplayer game of Star Trek Armada 3 Uprising, a fan made total conversion mod for Sins of Solar Empire Rebellion. After my recent tour video of Armada 3 fans asked me to make a full gameplay video so here it is! In this match Mick plays as Federation and James & I play as Romulan, we're taking on medium strength AI players playing as the Klingons, Cardassians (AI didn't go Dominion tech sadly) and the BORG! We normally play against more AIs and on hard level however we played it safe for this video to keep it easier and shorter yet in the end we still had some touch and go moments against the Borg AI as once they have fleets of cubes they are very hard to stop! So expect some BIG battles later on in this 6 part series haha!

ABOUT:
Armada 3 has got to be the largest and most impressive Star Trek fan game mod ever made as it allows single player and huge multiplayer games as most of the major races from Star Trek such as Federation, Klingon, Romulan, Borg and a cool Cardassian pure or Cardassian Dominion alliance hybrid faction. Sins was the perfect game for this mod as like the original armada games it involves planet colonization, base building, research, hero units, and building giant fleets of ships except that being a modern game it supports far more planets and ships with far better graphics then Armada I and Armada II games ever had! The attention to detail is incredible as you can zoom right in on the ships to see the realistic textures and there's so many little touches to the gameplay giving that Star Trek feel. The latest versions include minor races that you can have diplomatic relations with (gaining their special abilities) similar to Star Trek Birth of The Federation adding a whole new layer of strategy to the game. I cannot recommend this mod enough!

NOTES:
Apologies for the poor sound quality. As usual James has his speakers too loud so a lot of noise comes through the Skype chat recording. Mick has a headset on so you can sometimes hear him breathing too lol.. sigh.
I had to drop the textures down in quality a bit to ensure a smoother recording when lots of ships are on the screen. The gorgeous shots in my intro are how things normally look!
I hadn't played Armada 3 in months so I'm pretty rusty and make some really silly mistakes. Pro players will likely get very annoyed watching me haha!
