Was missing this guy so it's time to break out the muscle once again. Too many units I want to showcase these days.

You'd think being a bow unit would give him an advantage in this map, and yeah, kinda, but it's certainly not free.

Murdock packs a lineup of enemies that mostly target defense which is great, except his team also boasts fairly high defense stars themselves, which is less great. They're pretty tough to punch through with a low speed.

Enter good old Threaten Defense, the budget skill of people who aren't willing to spend their feathers on Defense Smoke today. In this case though, it's exactly what's needed in conjunction with Special Fighter and Aether to get the Lance Fighter out of the way, who is always a royal pain but this time packs additional DEBUFFS to our attack and defense.

Ordinarily that wouldn't be too much trouble except the world's most irritating wyvern lance spawns in the top corner and Raph can only reach it at the speed of armor. Even then, he doesn't quite have the damage to kill it in one round unless he has summoner support and the Lance Fighter is gone at which point he can scrape an exact kill.

Now the only real threat left is Murdock himself and for a GHB boss he's honestly pretty scary for Raph. Defense stacked to hell and back, distant counter so I can't beat him on range, special fighter to keep me from stopping his special and even a defensive far save to stop me swatting down his wyvern friends.

Initiating into him is a death sentence. But so is letting him initiate.

The way I was able to get around dying was by purposefully baiting the cleric to knock Raph below 75% health. This stops Murdock from doubling, and if somehow I can kill him before he gets to attack again, then we've got it.

It takes a double, a chunky Aether proc, and a threaten def to do it, but it gets the job done and Raph has another reinforcement map under his belt.
