Hello. Cespitularia have many color formations. some this color of pink, some psychedelic space dust. Those are hard to come by, but real. Thats a real color.

Cespitularia are known to have this pinkish purple coloration with somewhat pink or white hands, but in the darkest of nights at 3 am, unable to sleep, when you take up and amble over to your reef tank and shine a 90 s flashlight on this coral, the stalks are brilliantly purple, and the hands appear yellow instead of normal daylight coloration.
Thats something very interesting, and soon I'll write an article on my website about this and other coral colors at night vs day, and over time in the system.

Cespitularia spread around with these cool little flap things- reaching out to find footing, and once found its little flap things attach and a new colony grows there. Sometimes the stringy bits of the flaps sever, and you have a new coral.
Here we see a Cespitularia colony with good form and nice flow. It can also grow on the back glass if you glue it there. It doesn't spread very fast.

DON'T ever touch it too much- it'll melt away if you do- always use a glove or only touch the rocks. Don't be using your feeling little fingers to poke it a bunch.
