A walk around the Devil's Beef Tub

Описание к видео A walk around the Devil's Beef Tub

This walk begins in a layby of the A701 north of the small Borders town of Moffat. Here I pick up the Annandale Way and follow that above the Devil's Beef Tub, a 500 foot deep hollow where the Border Reivers used to hide their stolen cattle. The route heads over Annanhead Hill and along Chalk Rig Edge before descending through the Corehead Forest where the Borders Forest Trust have begun restoring the native woodlands. After crossing the River Annan and ascending the valley slopes to cross the A701 the route returns to the start
