Barnards Miniature Railway End of Season Gala 2018

A day that was as enjoyable as it was busy. On 21st October, Barnards Miniature Railway hosted their annual 'End of Season Gala' and this year's was fantastic! There was the passenger debut of 'Jean' at the railway (double-headed with 'Joan' all day), the debut of repainted 'Christabel E. Holmes' (double-headed with 'Sally Anne' all day, apart from the last trip which was worked solely by 'Sally'), plus single-headers from 'Doris Hilburn' and 'Jeremy' meaning that a 3-train service could be run, with locos hanging around at Burtonshaw. The 'Barnards Belle' also provided some electric action at points during the day, bringing it up to a 4-train service on a route with a 30-minute round trip! Enjoy!
