ASMR Tarot Playing Cards (soft spoken)

Описание к видео ASMR Tarot Playing Cards (soft spoken)

On the last tarot video, many of you commented that you weren't familiar with tarot as a card game. Frankly, neither am I, but it's pretty interesting to look at some of the historical cards. Out of the two decks we're looking at today, the first one is the Visconti-Sforza from the 15th century, one of the oldest tarot decks to still exist. The other one is a Piatnik "Industrie & Glück" deck which became popular in the Habsburg monarchy and which is still sold today, incl. its 19th century imagery.

(I was extra tired recording this, pardon any half-fleshed out explanations here...)

The book is by Robert Sedlaczek and Wolfgang Mayer, called "Die Kulturgeschichte des Tarockspiels". Afaik there is no English translation, but the authors recommend two books by Michael Dummet, "The Game of Tarot" and together with John McLeod "A History of Games Played with the Tarot Pack".
