KS LEV Dropper Damper Cartridge FULL service, fix sag & oil leaks. PLEASE READ CAUTION STATEMENTS

PLEASE READ BELOW BEFORE WATCHING VIDEO OR PERFORMING THE SERVICE

KS DOESN'T want people to service their cartridges. They would prefer that you purchase a new cartridge instead. Below is a statement from KS , as they provided a user in the MTBR forum "https://www.mtbr.com/threads/ks-lev-d..." who created an instruction set on performing this service on the cartridge.

"The procedure explained by the user in this thread is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS and could result in severe injury or death to the person performing this. These warnings are also clearly stated on our website and in our manuals. This posting may cause some consumers to disregard our warnings and severely injure themselves attempting this procedure listed."

"We at KS USA do NOT endorse the servicing of the oil system, it is factory sealed, and not to be opened by the user as the internals are under EXTREME PRESSURE!"

"We offer a 2 year warranty on our products, so if a customer is having an issue, they can send the post in to us and we will REPLACE the cartridge at no charge under warranty. If it is outside the warranty period, the consumer can purchase a new cartridge assembly through their local dealer."

With all that being said, PLEASE listen to the intro of the video before attempting the service the cartridge as there are some caution statements. Please watch the video a few times so you can be more prepared to perform this service safely and successfully. This service isn't particularly difficult, but there are some details that need to be understood. The most important of which is how to safely open the cartridge

When opening the cartridge, you should NEVER have the damper shaft pointed in your direction, or in the direction of anyone else around you. AGAIN, PLEASE watch the video in order to perform this service Safely and successfully.
