Day 151 | Daily Bible Reading | The Plot to Destroy the Jews Backfires | Esther 6-10

The King, unable to sleep, reads the Chronicles, and realizes that Mordecai had saved his life, and not been rewarded. So he asked Haman ( the enemy of the Jews) how to reward someone he wanted to honor. Thinking it was for himself, he suggested a procession through the town square in the King’s royal clothes, led by a prince proclaiming the King’s pleasure. Mordecai, his wife and counselors see the writing on the wall, and realize their plan has backfired. Read along to see how the tables turned, how Haman perished on his own gallows, and how the Jews, instead of being destroyed, were allowed to defend themselves.
