What a brilliant time we had here in Ravenswood!
Ravenswood is a rural town in the Charters Towers region.
It is historically and currently a gold mining town. It is located 130 Kilometres South of Townsville With an approximate population of 250 people.

We camped at the old abandoned campground, its run by the Council and has a couple of caretakers. The cost is $15 unpowered and $20 powered per night. You can walk into town from here its about 300 meters.
There is also free camping behind each of the pubs.

The locals believe the pubs are haunted. Stay a night, if you dare!!
