Various shots of antifascist republicans guarding street barricades with machine guns and rifles. According to narrator they are from the Popular Party. They wave through trucks and cars (one car has letters C.A.I painted on it). No uniforms are worn, although many of the antifascists wear head bands.

Various shots of well-known buildings around city that have been hit by shells and bullets. Various shots of desecrated Catholic churches and cathedrals - targeted by antifascists for their support of fascist dictator General Francisco Franco. Outside one of the churches are what look like open coffins containing ancient skeletons, probably taken from crypt.

Various shots of antifascists taking artefacts and religious relics from church. According to narrator, this is "looting ... under protection of loaded rifles". A large crowd cheers as they relics are heaped in a pile and burnt. At the centre of bonfire is statue of Virgin Mary.
