Constructed in the year 1732, Shaniwar Wada is the pride of Maratha Empire. Till 1818, it was the royal throne of the Peshwas. It was the power house of their empire till something bad happened in the year 1828, leaving it haunted forever. It is said that till date, the last words spoken by Narayan Rao, Bajirao's grandson, can still be heard by the people who visit the fort.
