▪️Barot is a small village located in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated on the banks of the Uhl river and is surrounded by the Dhauladhar mountain range. Barot is known for its natural beauty and is a popular destination for trekking and camping enthusiasts.
▪️The Rising Hub Of Adventure, Barot a village, originally developed in 1920s for Shanan Hydel Project is now a tourist location … Pre Independence, Barot was also on the mule trail connecting Kullu valley to Kangra valley. Also known as, “a trekker's paradise.
▪️Barot dam was built by British in early 19 th century on Ulh river. To construct the dam a trolley system on rails was constructed from Joginder Nagar to Barot valley. It is still existing and is a master piece of human engineering.
▪️It is famous for its Trout Fish Farm.
▪️The ideal months to visit Barot in India are February through June and September through December, when the weather will be comfortable to hot and there won't be much rain. Barot Valley weather is fairly moderate, i.e., neither too hot in summers nor too cold in winters.
