While we were in the Outer Banks, we stopped by the NPS Wright Brothers National Memorial in Kill Devil Hills. Wilbur and Orville were Aviation Pioneers with their Wright Flyer. It was December 17, 1903 at 10:35AM when the First Flight happen and there was a First Flight Photo taken, it really started the Wright Brother History. BTW the reason Wright Brothers National Memorial is Kill Devil Hills and not Kitty Hawk is because when the First Flight happened on December 17, 1903 it was 4 miles south of Kitty Hawk. Kill Devil Hills didn't become a town until 1953.
