Ingredients
For Chicken Mixture
250g boneless chicken (boiled & shredded)
1 medium potato (boiled & mashed)
1 small onion (finely chopped)
1 green chili (finely chopped, optional)
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
½ tsp garam masala
½ tsp black pepper powder
½ tsp red chili powder
½ tsp cumin powder
½ tsp coriander powder
½ tsp salt (adjust as per taste)
2 tbsp coriander leaves (finely chopped)
½ tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp bread crumbs (for binding)
For Coating
½ cup bread crumbs
1 egg (beaten)
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
3 tbsp water (for slurry)
A pinch of salt and black pepper
For Frying
Oil for deep frying
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Chicken Mixture
Boil the chicken until tender, then shred it finely.
In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, mashed potato, chopped onion, green chili, and ginger-garlic paste.
Add garam masala, black pepper, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt.
Mix in coriander leaves, lemon juice, and 1 tbsp bread crumbs for binding.
Mix everything well to form a soft, yet firm dough-like mixture.
Step 2: Shape the Cutlets
Take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into a round or oval patty.
Repeat the process for the remaining mixture and keep them aside.
Step 3: Prepare the Coating
In a small bowl, mix all-purpose flour with water to make a smooth slurry. Add a pinch of salt and black pepper.
Beat the egg in another bowl.
Spread bread crumbs in a plate for coating.
Step 4: Coat the Cutlets
Dip each chicken cutlet in the flour slurry, ensuring an even coating.
Next, dip it in the beaten egg.
Finally, coat it with bread crumbs and press gently to make the coating stick.
Repeat for all cutlets and keep them on a plate.
