2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac 4.0L V6 | POV Driving Impressions

The Ford Explorer Sport Trac was a unique vehicle of its production time from 2000 to 2010, and later succeeded by the Ford Ranger. It was the first mid sized pick up truck Ford made and shared its chassis with the SUV variant. After 2010, Ford decided to split the Ford Explorer and Ford Ranger in its respective categories and serving their own evolutions, meanwhile, experiencing economic pressure and substantial low demand, Ford discontinued the Sport Trac.

This vehicle is the first generation with first model year, having 146,000 miles at the time of filming.
