An Al-Jazeera journalist interviewed a Syrian man from the border village of al-Rafid in southern Syria, whose house and olive trees were reportedly destroyed by Israeli forces.

“We will not be afraid, nor will they scare us with their weapons and armoured vehicles,” said the man, challenging Israel’s incursion into Syria.


Following the fall of the Assad government in Syria, Israel launched an invasion of Syrian territory, accompanied by hundreds of airstrikes across the country targeting military and naval assets.
