Indiana Jones and the Great Circle - Is Full Path Tracing Worth It? RTX 4090 Comparison

Indiana Jones is the latest game to feature full path tracing. Do you want it? Do you need it? Is it worth the frame rate hit??


Settings are all on maximum, running 4K with DLSS on quality with frame generation turned on. We're looking for better shadows, better reflections and much better global illumination. You'll see things like walls and canopies have influence on color balance, shadows are in places that wouldn't have them otherwise (as well as being much more defined), and generic static reflections on glass replaced with real time reflections. After playing the game for quite a while I can honestly say I miss it when it isn't enabled. The game looks very beautiful either way, but path tracing adds a sense of depth and realism you just don't get otherwise. What do you think?
