(12/15/15) – A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the Denver metro area and eastern Colorado through Tuesday afternoon, with 4 to 8 inches of snow expected across the city and along the Interstate 25 corridor. Five to 10 inches is expected along the Eastern Plains with blowing and drifting snow creating poor visibility.

This storm will continue tracking northeast throughout the day.

Temperatures on Tuesday will only get into the mid to upper 20s with gusty northerly winds from 15 to 25 mph. The snow will gradually taper off after midday, but a few occasional light snow showers are still possible through sunset.

Skies clear for Wednesday, but temperatures will remain chilly with highs in the 30s. Another small chance for snow is possible Thursday morning when temperatures drop into the 20s again.

Drier and milder weather arrives for Friday and Saturday.
