Replacement of the battery on a 2GIG/Vivint Smoke Detector. To remove the smoke detector turn the detector 1/4 of a turn counter clockwise. The 2GIG/Vivint Panel will beep indicating a tamper has occurred on the smoke detector. The smoke detector uses 3 AAA replacement batteries. One of the batteries was very difficult to remove so keep that in mind. Now just reinstall the 2GIG/Vivint smoke detector back into the mounting base turning it clockwise.
