Legendary NASL soccer game in Tulsa Oklahoma as Tulsa Roughnecks defeat the New York Cosmos 3-0 on a hot August night in 1979. 26,000 fans (official attendance) filled Skelly Stadium Tulsa, OK on the University of Tulsa campus. The majority of fans were seated in the west bleachers and end zones to give the stadium a packed look for TV cameras.

Tulsa's goal scorers were Rogers Davies (2 goals) and Wayne Hughes in this conference semi-final playoff game. Roughneck goalkeeper Jack Brand got the shutout. New York bounced back and won the next 2 games in NYC to win the series.
