The Other Guys campaign focuses on participation of Romanian and Italian forces in air combat during the iconic Battle of Stalingrad 1942.

The campaign kicks off on Sunday September 1, 2024 at 18:00 UTC

The 'Flying Tin Cans' or 'FTC' is a multi-national, historical reenactment community who fly virtual campaigns in the IL2 Great Battles simulator. FTC boasts 100+ members from all over the world who come together every Sunday starting at 1800 Zulu to participate in the event.

Every campaign is thoroughly researched, sometimes even down to the very days and hours that operations occurred to generate the most authentic and fun experience possible. Squadrons represented within the campaigns are squadrons that flew during these operations, and members represent them with pride, battling it out in the skies of WWII.

Any and all skill levels are welcome. There are no formal courses or requirements to apply. We are a friendly group that would be happy to help anyone who feels they need to brush up on any aspect of their flight sim aviation skills.
