Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley says more than 39 million dollars of the one-time solidarity allowance has been disbursed to Barbadians since the distribution process started on May 14.

Ms. Mottley gave an update on how the distribution of the allowance has been going, while suggesting that Opposition Leader Ralph Thorne, who has publicly condemned the allowance, should return his piece of the pie to be given to the disabled community.

Addressing last night's Barbados Labour Party spot meeting at Weston, St. James, the Prime Minister said the distribution of the allowance is her government keeping its promise to share the bounty.
