I happened to stumble upon enough pieces to make the Meat farming work. I got the Flesh Hound with the Sacrifice move, Phiopoda with the Rest move and mutated Mimilang with extra health (very important). When combined, I could keep cycling my Mimilang. He would alternate between using the Sacrifice move and then the Rest to heal back, before starting the cycle again. I also tried to farm the Bleeding talent at the same time, but it bugged out. It would seem that every time this talent got depleted, it would remain unusable in the next fight. Then it would resume working as normal. This bug has been noticed and should be fixed soon.

So...what I was farming all the Meat for, you ask? Well, this game happens to have two tedious Steam achievements; The Unlucky Tamer and the Against all Odds. The first requires that a 90%+ capture fails. The second one is to capture something with the chance being less than 10%. These two are the type of an achievement, where savescumming can get it done in no time. However, if you refuse to savescum, this achievement can take a long while. At the Pioneer, I can be severely punished for throwing my limited food, for no good reason. The meat farming takes this burden away, but you can still do not get the achievements.

I also kept my deck size bigger than usual, to get more missing bestiary entries. This led to making some sub optimal plays. If the deck gets to 9 cards or more, cycling cards becomes impossible, until something gets removed.

The highlight of the run was reusing the Last Stand move over and over again, thanks to Mimilang with the Fortitude (to allow it to retreat). I did end up killing the Orphaned Colony too early and thus I had less time to setup the Last Stand chain. Using the Impediment on the Abominable Son was great though.

I picked Shell Cat for his flexibility. He could make one enemy act last and/or use his Guard move for tanking. As it turned out, that tanking was essential for the early game. All my following support options were terrible. I picked the Xerododo, because this boss was not very demanding. I could either carry the Xerododo to evolve it, get the bestiary and/or try out the Last Stand move if possible.

The first fight was obvious. The Hippoanimus' group had nothing. The other party had the Boulder Crab with the Stunning Blow and Aquaric Frog with the Toxic Lick. The crab got the Easy Prey curse, making it almost useless. The sluggish on the Frog was not great either. I did not need any more meat, so I took the Mutated Fish reward instead.
