How to travel from TRX MRT Station to KL Sentral LRT Station

The Tun Razak Exchange (TRX ) Mass Rapid Transit Station is one of the 9 underground stations on MRT Putrajaya Line Phase 2 which opened to the public on 16 March 2023.

The station is located at the eastern edge of a financial district development comprising office towers, residences and retail spaces near Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur.

The station was first built for MRT Kajang Line. It was opened on 17 July 2017 as part of Phase Two operations of the MRT line.

The station is designed as an interchange station with the MRT Putrajaya Line, making it the second interchange between the two lines, the other being Kwasa Damansara. As a result, the Tun Razak Exchange has a side stacked island platform configuration, to enable cross-platform transfers between the MRT lines.

A Side Stacked Platform (Split Platform) is a station that has a platform for each track, split onto two or more levels. This configuration allows a narrower station plan horizontally, at the expense of a deeper vertical elevation, because sets of tracks and platforms are stacked above each other.

Split Platforms are sometimes used in a hybrid arrangement that allows for convenient cross-platform interchange between trains running in the same general direction.

This station is the deepest station on the MRT Kajang Line and has 7 underground levels in addition to the ground level. Of the 7 levels, 4 are public floors while the others house machinery and equipment.

The station has two entrances, Entrance A at the northern end of the station and Entrance B at the southern end. The entrances are located at the ground level.
