In this video we will show you the beautiful garden which is situated in the valley of mountains in a very thick forest. Very beautiful fountains, waterfalls, trees of fruits and many kinds of birds inside it. The name of this garden is Kanhatti Garden and it was established in British Era. If we go the 2 kilometer from this garden to the north side than a beautiful but dangerous waterfall is situated after passing through a small village in which many young boys had lost their lives. It is said that the number of these boys is more than16. Kanhatti Garden was established by Major W Whet Burn, District Engineer, and District Board Shahpur on 18th August 1933. The area of orchard was transferred to the District Board on Nov 2, 1934. The plantation in the garden was started in December 1934 and completed in January-February 1935. The plant inventory includes Almond, Apricot, Pine apple, Olives, Valencia late and Washington Navel. The Garden was transferred to Horticulture Research Station Soon Valley under the administrative control of Director Horticulture Research Institute, AARI-Faisalabad 1984 to 1991. In 1999 it was again given under the control of District Council Khushab. However being maintained under the supervision of the Khushab Agriculture Department, the Kanhatti Rest House and Camping Site was taken over by the Punjab Tourism Development Corporation Of Punjab on 29th Nov, 2014. Kanhatti Garden, located in Soon Valley of District Khushab, is accessible from Islamabad, Lahore M2 Kalar Kahar Interchange. The distance from Islamabad is 290 km, from Lahore is 300-km, from Sargodha is 120 km and from Khushab is 66 Km. The Soon Valley is in the north west of Khushab District, Punjab, Pakistan. Its largest population is the Tehsil Naushera. The valley extends from the village of Padhrar to Sakesar, the highest peak in the Salt Range. The valley is 56 km long and has an average width of 14 km. It covers a 780 km2 area. Soon Valley has much scenic beauty, with lakes, waterfalls, jungle, natural pools and ponds. The Soon Valley has been settled since ancient times, including by the Awan tribe, whose descendants still live in the valley.
