BRIGANDINE: The Legend of Runersia would have to be the best game I've never heard about! I stumbled across it on Steam. Wow, what a polished game - it is awesome.

On the surface, there is a full JRPG element with about 100 unique characters to interact with. The strategic layer is a continent map with about 40 locations. These aren't randomly generated. The tactical battles are simple yet with a lot of depth for grognards.
