Alan Bullard: Three Blues for Alto Saxophone and Piano (Scrolling Score)

These blues-inspired sketches were written for three players and teachers who all worked alongside Alan Bullard at the School of Music at Colchester Institute at the time, as well as teaching at various London music colleges and performing around the world. Each movement depicts one aspect of the character of the dedicatee – the laid-back Stuart Allen, the reflective Charles Hine, and the lively Angela Fussell.

3. Agile Blues (for Angela Fussell)

They have had many successful and characterful performances over the years, and are now republished by Colne Edition (CE84) with some slight revisions, and a change of key for two of the movements.
