Welcome to the channel, this is tracerbeast answering the question are classic weapons overpowered in Infinite warfare? I am using two Infinite Warfare classic weapons the “OSA” and the “MACTAV 45” in this video. First off let me say the I was super exited when I learned that Classic Weapons would be introduced into Infinite Warfare, and some of the weapons they chose to include were some of my favorites from past Call of Duty titles. The Mactav 45 was the classic weapon I was most interested in using because it is based on the UMP 45. The Mactav 45 performed better than most of the SMGs in its class and the closest weapon I could compare it to would be the HVR, except this classic weapon performed slightly better in my opinion. The classic weapon OSA performed remarkably well, and may be one of the best AR’s in the game. I believe that the OSA may have the fastest time to kill of any assault rifle in the game based on some very casual testing I did. If the idea that the OSA has the fastest ttk doesn’t interest you, then maybe the fact that it has an under barrel grenade launcher and a high magazine capacity should. I think that the OSA is way more powerful than any other base AR in the game, and I will be using this weapon in my rotation. The question is; are the classic weapons overpowered in infinite warfare, or at least more powerful than the base weapons featured in the lineup? I will say yes they are op, but remember there is a caveat when we talk about comparing classic weapons in Infinite warfare vs other weapons. Classic weapons have no Variants at the moment, so for them to compete with the other weapons being used in the game the base weapon should be more powerful. Some of the weapon variants in this game are crazy good, and if the base classic weapons weren’t as powerful as they are there would be no way that they could compete with them. The prestige system is supposed to weed out players who don’t have any experience from using weapons to powerful. You wouldn’t want brand new players trolling you with some amazing weapons from the start with high ttk and low recoil, so I think this system was a good idea. The OSA and MACTAV 45 are certainly better than the other base weapons in their classes, so yes I would say that both the OSA and the MACTAV 45 are overpowered in IW. Some variants of other weapons would still get the better of them, so its nice to have something that can compete if you haven’t been lucky enough in your supply drops in IW.
