Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel says he is "looking for a number nine": as rumours swirl that Spurs sniper Harry Kane is a target of the Bundesliga champions.

Tuchel said his attackers could have finished better after Bayern lost 2-1 to Manchester City in a pre-season match in Tokyo on Wednesday.

He also said summer tours "weren't ideal" for his side's preparations, but accepts the trips as part of the way things are now in modern football.

Bayern play Japanese J.League side Kawasaki Frontale on Saturday, then travel to Singapore for a match with Liverpool next Wednesday.
