The latest updates regarding the Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge project indicate significant progress as construction is set to commence in July 2025. Here are the key details:

Construction Timeline and Costs

Start Date**: The construction of the Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge is scheduled to begin in July 2025, focusing initially on the land-based approach structures. This phase is estimated to cost approximately PHP 11 billion.

Contract Packages**: The project will kick off with two contract packages (CPs 1 and 2), which cover a total of 6.89 kilometers of approach ramps. CP 1, costing PHP 7.3 billion, pertains to the Bataan side, while CP 2, at PHP 3.43 billion, involves the Cavite side. The Notice of Award for these contracts is expected to be issued on July 4, 2025, with contract signing planned for July 13, 2025.

Total Project Cost**: The overall cost of the Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge is projected at PHP 175.66 billion. This extensive infrastructure aims to significantly reduce travel time between Bataan and Cavite from approximately 5.5 hours to just 45 minutes.

Project Scope and Impact

Bridge Specifications**: The bridge will span 32.15 kilometers across Manila Bay, connecting Mariveles in Bataan to Naic in Cavite. It is designed to enhance regional connectivity and economic integration, facilitating smoother transportation and trade.

Future Phases**: Following the initial land works, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will proceed with bidding for the marine viaducts and main bridge spans, which constitute the bulk of the remaining project costs, estimated at nearly PHP 153 billion.
