The inlet was washing out into the ocean at Ponce Inlet in Daytona. I dropped my boat in at the bridge and headed towards the ocean. The video was filmed in the Halifax river system that drains into the ponce inlet tidal waters & holds a ton of fish!
You will have to navigate your boat through very shallow waters to make it into this area, but you will find deep holes holding a lot of mullets, sheepshead, snook and black and red drum. The difficult part about netting in the ocean is the oyster covered rocks and canals. These will tear your net to pieces and often requires you to dive in or use a boat to retrieve your net. Choose your throws carefully in these areas, because a mistake will cost you your net!
Come along with me as I navigate through this area and attempt to catch as many species of fish as possible.
This area is so vast that it could take someone a lifetime to understand where to fish and how to do it. I am learning right along with you guys & giving you guys as much knowledge as possible
