Show Notes:

There was no show intro for the performance. Linkin Park took the stage with the extended clapping intro for 'Given Up' after Chloë Grace Moretz introduced the band. 'Given Up' in 2009 and 2014 came directly after the show intro (previously 'Session' and then 'The Catalyst/The Requiem') and had the extra clapping intro. Due to it being played by itself at this show (the only time in 2014), the intro is listed since it technically started the performance.
Immediately after 'Guilty All The Same', the outro sample from 'War' lead right into the studio version of 'Wastelands'. This is the only time that the sample from 'War' was used on The Hunting Party's touring cycle. In May 2017, Linkin Park brought the sample back before 'Wastelands' for the One More Light touring cycle.

Other Notes:

On June 5th, the band announced, "Linkin Park will be headlining the first ever mtvU Fandom Awards and the corresponding MTV Fan Fest which will both be taking place at Comic-Con International: San Diego at Petco Park on July 24th. Free admission to MTV Fan Fest will be open to all Comic-Con badge holders."
'Guilty All The Same' was rehearsed earlier in the day.
Linkin Park debuted their new catwalk into the crowd for Carnivores Tour at this show.

The waiting line for the performance was atrocious before the show. Almost an hour after the show was scheduled to start (7:00), there were still fans waiting in line to enter the venue.
Immediately after the show, Joe and The Nerd Machine held a special screening of The Mall (Joe's movie) at Nerd HQ in San Diego. LPU members were able to attend and Joe held a M&G with fans after the screening.

Comments: After the July 27th airing, MTV uploaded 'Wastelands', 'Until It's Gone', and the show intro by Chloë Grace Moretz in a playlist entitled "2014 mtvU Fandom Awards: Bonus Performances". By changing the URLs around for the videos, fans were able to obtain a video of 'One Step Closer' as well. On July 29th, 'Guilty All The Same' and 'Points Of Authority' were uploaded but were then taken down quickly. 'The Catalyst/The Requiem' and 'Faint' had video URLs too, but the videos weren't uploaded by MTV. Mike's "sing that shit" is censored on 'Points Of Authority'.
