Just has the body needs food to survive, our soul needs the bread of life to survive. Loneliness, emptiness, confusion, feeling depressed, feeling insignificant, unwanted and unloved: these are the signs of spiritual starvation. And just as you give somebody bread when they are physical starving, when somebody is spiritual starvation we give them the bread of life, Jesus. There is a desire for completeness that can only be satisfied by Jesus Christ. Everything else keeps us searching for something more.
