Dimming Low Voltage LEDs - The Easy Way!

Dimming Low Voltage LEDs doesn't have to be difficult! We're going to show you how we installed this Lutron Diva Electronic Dimmer and changed the vibe of this taproom we just completed.

If your LED lights are on on a transformer, a standard $15 dimmer probably won't work. You'll get flashing, flickering, or nothing at all. There's two types of transformers commonly used - electronic or magnetic. Knowing what type of dimmer you have is critical to your success. Find a model number and do your homework. We're giant advocates of calling manufacturers and talking to their tech support team (seriously, we do it every week).

The install took about 15 minutes and cost $120. We bought our dimmer at an electrical supply house - you can get the same one cheaper on Amazon. Link below.

We're installing a Lutron Diva Electronic Low Voltage Dimmer. These are a great, versatile dimmer for electronic transformers.
