Hi Blanca, it is going to be pretty cold this weekend
So anything in bud or flowering bring them in your house
The rest protect with plastic sheets etc..
After the cold
Spray them with Physan
To prevent any rotting

Do not water your plants starting today
The drier the better

Orchid cells will die due to the cold and that causes rot.

Cold advise:
Most orchids with spikes will cut off the feeding capillaries to the blooms when temperatures drop below 55.
So protect your babies w growing spikes.
Specially sensitive to cold: grammatophyllums, vandas, phalaenopsis.

Do not water orchids just before or during a cold.
You might want to move them inside your house. If you want to set up heaters. Make sure to set them with proper exhaust ventilation.
Another tip is to cover your outdoors plants with a greenhouse poly sheet. and place a 500W work light underneath. The heat from such a lamp will keep a small covered area cozy.
Please make sure that your lamp is set safely away from any flammable material.
A single overnight temperature drop below 40 degrees will cause severe damage, and has the potential to kill most orchids.
