I have been asked to make a video about local server setup and installing WordPress on a local development environment (such as XAMPP).

So, in this video, I will show you how you can setup your own local server using a well-known cross-platform software called XAMPP (X - Cross-Platform, A - Apache, M - MariaDB, P - PHP, P - Perl).

We will also download WordPress and integrate it with the XAMPP server.

Normally, if you want to make a WordPress website, you would need to purchase a domain and hosting
In order to see your website, live on the internet.

Although this approach has its own advantages, sometimes building websites locally is a better option for different reasons.

Making websites locally (E.g., using XAMPP, WAMP, MAMP) will not only make your development process faster, but it can also prevent your website from different security threats until your website is launched to the internet.

When you install WordPress locally, all of your website files will be stored on your computer. This means, only you’ll be able to access your website.

Based on your own personal preference you can select your environment to make your website.

ከዚህ በፊት በለቀክኩት የዌብሳይት ዲዛይን ትምህርት ላይ አንዳንድ ሰዎች ሎካል ሰርቨር እንዴት ሴትአፕ እንደሚደረግ ብታሳየን በለዉ ሲጠይቁኝ ነበር፡፡

ስለዚህ በዚህ ቪዲዮ ውስጥ XAMPP (X - Cross-Platform, A - Apache, M - MariaDB, P - PHP, P - Perl) የተባለ የታወቀ የክሮስ ፕላትፎርም ሶፍትዌር በመጠቀም የራስዎን የሎካል ሰርቨር እንዴት ማዘጋጀት እንደሚችሉ አሳያችኋለሁ ፡፡

ዌብሳይት ለመስራት በዋናነት ዶሜን እና ሆስቲንግ ያስፈልጋል፡፡ ይህን ደግሞ ለማድረግ ዶሜን እና ሆስቲንግ መግዛት ይጠይቃል፡፡ ይህንን ካደረግን ዌብሳይታችን ተሰርቶ ሳያልቅ ኢንተርኔት ላይ መልቀቅ እንችላለን፡፡

ምንም እንኳን ይህ አካሄድ የራሱ ጥቅሞች ቢኖሩትም ፣ ብዙ ጊዜ ዌብሳይታችን በሎካል ሰርቨር ተጠቅመን መስራት የተሻለ አማራጭ የሚሆንባቸዉ የተለያዩ ምክንያቶች አሉ፡፡

ዌብሳይታችንን የሎካል ሰርቨርን (ለምሳሌ ፣ በ XAMPP ፣ WAMP ፣ MAMP) ተጠቅመን መስራት የዌብሳይት ስራውን በፍጥነት እንድናከናውን ከማገዝ ባለፈ ዌብሳይታችን ዲዛይን ተደርጎ ከማለቁና ላይቭ ከመለቀቁ በፊት ሊፈጠሩ የሚችሉ የተለያዩ የደህንነት ስጋቶችን ሊከላከልልን ይችላል ፡፡

ምክንያቱም ለምሳሌ WordPress ን ሲጭኑ ሁሉም የዌብሳይት ፋይሎችዎ በኮምፒተርዎ ላይ ይቀመጣሉ ፡፡ ይህ ማለት የዌብሳይት ፋይሎቹን አክሰስ ማድረግ የሚችሉት እርስዎ ብቻ ነዎት ማለት ነው።
