The conversations they are forced to have and the conversation we need to have—‘The Talk’ is a poignant reminder of both.

This powerful two-minute-long ad, titled “The Talk”, shows Black parents preparing their children for the racism they will face in life. The narrative takes us through emotional conversations—like a mother warning her daughter about the dangers of getting pulled over by the police.

While the campaign sparked some controversy, it struck a deep chord within the Black community and beyond, winning major awards, including an Emmy. Through ‘The Talk’, P&G aimed to spark conversations, and challenge beauty and racial biases, standing firm in their commitment to addressing these harsh truths.

As the UK celebrates the Black History this month, the campaign hits closer to home at a vulnerable time like this––reminding us how important it is to keep having these tough conversations about racism.
