I love McDonald's Fries. So, I wanted to try and see how close I could get to McDonald's style of French Fries. Keep in mind these are air crisped, not boiled in oil like McD's are. Here is how I got the results that to me tasted just right.


Wash and cut your potato.
I use a potato slicer with 1/4 inch squares. If you don't have one of those, you can just slice the potato into stripes.

Soak the wedges in room temp water for at least 30 mins. This will lessen the starch when the wedges are air crisped.

Towel dry the fries after soaking.

Toss fries with oil and add a bit of salt. We will add more salt once they are doing cooking.

Preheat with Air Crisper selected to 400 for 5 mins with the fryer basket inserted.

Place fries inside the basket and close the lid. Set the temp to 400 for 15 mins.

Every 5 mins stir fries until they are a golden brown.
