The Iron Claw - Movie Review

The Iron Claw is an @A24 film directed by Sean Durkin and chronicles the life of the Von Erich family. Texas wrestling royalty of the 80s that were on top of the world for a time before tragedy struck. The story is told through the eyes of Kevin Von Erich, masterfully played by Zac Efron.

I grew up during the 80s and lived in the shadow of the Dallas Sportatorium. I am this movies harshest critic and I have so many opinions. In this review I share with you my thoughts on if The Iron Claw and let you know if it's worth your time.

For anyone reading this that doesn't know about The Von Erich family story, please watch the movie first and then dive into the actual details of the true story. It's sweet and even sadder than the movie.

And the last bit of drone footage is the site where the Dallas Sportatorium once stood. It was torn down in 2003. This video was shot Dec 2023. Long live The Dallas Sportatorium.
