The Waipio Valley Road on the Big Island of Hawaii is a favorite hike of ours. The incredible beauty of this place also known as the Valley of the Kings makes this hike unforgettable. So does the steepness of the road. The Waipio Valley Road has an average grade of 25% with some spots as steep as 40%.

We have always hiked down it and then back up. We love the challenge and enjoying the majestic beauty of this place at a hiking pace.

We brought along our GoPro and created a short film along our hike.
