Tuning up your QCX+

How to optimize your QCX/QCX+/QCX-mini for best performance.

Applies to the whole QCX range: QCX, QCX+ and QCX-mini.

From time to time people ask about low power output, particularly on 20m and 30m versions of the radio; the video shows my tune-up, test and adjustment procedure for a 30m QCX+ with TCXO and Enclosure options. Initial power output was just 0.77W but by the time I was finished, merely by adjusting the inductors, I had 4.6W (both at 12V supply).

The video also shows the oscillator calibration (using QLG1 GPS) and the receiver alignment procedure.
