The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has increased the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) popularly known as petrol to N617 per litre at outlets in Abuja.
The fresh hike in the price of fuel was announced yesterday by NNPCL Group Chief Executive Officer, Mele Kyari, while speaking to journalists after a closed-door meeting with Vice President Kashim Shettima at the State House in Abuja.
Meanwhile, the National President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, Mr. Chinedu Okoronkwo has explained that petroleum products are imported to Nigeria using dollars, hence the increase in price.
