And here's a slow motion - foward version which in addition to allowing us a nice view of Mary ( a former Miss America ), we can see some good detail of the U.N.C.L.E. " Special ". For those of you not familiar with it, the U.N.C.L.E. " Special " wasn't just a pistol; it was a weapons platform. Here; it's in basic pistol form. This was the 2nd version and it was based on the German World War 2 Walther ( pronounced " walter " ) P38. The end of the barrel was sawn off and replaced by a muzzle flash suppressor shaped like a birdcage. The standard " grips " were replaced by ones that had horizontal indentations ( as in the video clip ) and had on the back, a narrow slot so a telescopic shoulder stock could be slid into ( and tightened ), allowing the stock to be pulled back and the butt unfolded. The " grips " on the left side also had a square / U - shaped slot so that a Optic Sight could be fitted. There was also a small rectangular shaped " flat plate " where the Agent's surname initial could be affixed. This was a black " S " on white for " Mr Solo " and a white " K " on black for " Mr Kuryakin " ( the letter's were mailbox letter's ). The pistol thus could be upgraded / upgunned to full " carbine spec " by unscrewing the " birdcage " and screwing on a long barrel, attaching a shoulderstock, the Optic Sight ( the U - shaped slot was on the left otherwise it would have covered / blocked the Ejection Opening ) and a long magazine ( 2 x standard pistol magazines welded together ).
