Scotland is an autonomous part of the United Kingdom. The country consists of almost eight hundred islands, most of which are uninhabited. Scotland is one of the most interesting countries to travel to. From the south, the country borders on England, from the west it is washed by the Atlantic Ocean, and from the east by the North Sea. Due to its favorable location, the landscapes of Scotland are very diverse.

There are mountains with long valleys, harsh coastal cliffs, mysterious caves and majestic green hills. The cities of Scotland are ancient, noisy, with modern infrastructure. Many of them have preserved medieval castles.

Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, can be reached from London by high-speed train in just 4 hours! So if you are going to travel around England, you should also plan a trip to Scotland. It will not take much time, and the impressions will remain for a long time. It is in Edinburgh that the famous Edinburgh University is located, which is included in the top 30 best universities in the world.
