i grew up watching h2o sporadically on tv whenever it was on and i always really liked it but i honestly don't think i ever watched more than a few episodes here and there in total. so a few months ago after seeing a couple of edits of these two i decided to watch the whole show back to back and i enjoyed it so so much! (the nostalgia factor was 100% there as well and i just love a good nostalgic watch)

these two (and the friendship between the girls obviously) was by FAR the best thing about it for me though. their relationship is extremely compelling and interesting and i love how they help each other grow and learn and evolve as people (season 3 we are NOT looking at you)

it was straight up offensive watching the writers tarnish zane so close to the finishing line when he was the most complex and well developed character in the whole show... all to make a bland cardboard we'd known for five seconds the mAin hEro (he was none of the sort) and zikki being collateral damage in that mess just breaks my heart as well... not this show giving me deep rooted trust issues lmao

i feel like this song is so perfect for them and their beautiful dynamic and i tried really hard to capture that through my editing. i also tried incorporating a tiny bit of season 3 footage because out of context the angst and some of the quotes ALMOST works. i fully just wanted to convey and spotlight that zane truly loved and always wanted to take care of and protect rikki regardless of their differences and the things they had to go through to get there💛
