Did you know the Dothraki suffered their greatest defeat at the hands of the Unsullied? Four centuries before the War of the Five Kings, Khal Temmo led a massive khalasar-accounts vary from 20,000 to 50,000 riders-against Qohor, intending to destroy it. The Dothraki easily overran Qohor's initial defenses, slaughtering city guards and heavy cavalry. But by dawn, 3,000 Unsullied stood firm at the gates, ready to meet the horde. The Dothraki charged eighteen times, and each time, the Unsullied phalanx held, leaving 12,000 Dothraki dead, including Temmo himself. In a rare display of humility, the surviving Dothraki cut off their braids in defeat, cementing the Unsullied's legendary reputation in the Free Cities.
